These accolades recognise Berry’s strides in developing environmentally friendly packaging solutions across both rigid and flexible plastic formats.

“Supporting our customers’ sustainability goals is central to everything we do at Berry,” said Jean-Marc Galvez, president of Berry Global’s Consumer Packaging International division.

“Our achievements in the Environmental Packaging Awards – in both rigid and flexible plastics – demonstrate significant technical and design expertise and showcase the vital role that plastic can play in the move to a circular, net-zero economy.”

Berry’s Gold-winning reusable milk bottle for Abel & Cole’s Club Zero challenges the dominance of glass in home delivery for milk.

Capable of being refilled up to 16 times before recycling, this solution showcases the company’s dedication to reducing packaging waste.

Meanwhile, in the Ambient Food category, Berry’s Entour polyethylene lamination film secured a Silver Award.

This film enhances the recyclability of traditional multilayer films, offering a more sustainable option for converters and brand owners.

Another Silver accolade was awarded to Berry’s Omni Xtra+ polyvinyl chloride (PVC) replacement film in the Chilled and Frozen category.

This recyclable alternative to PVC cling film is lighter and complies with European recycling standards.

Finally, a Bronze Award in the Alcoholic Drinks category was bestowed upon Berry’s flat-pack-shaped 100% recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PE) wine bottle for Packamama.

This lightweight bottle is widely recyclable, offering a sustainable option for the wine industry.

Beyond its own awards, Berry contributed to the Refill Coalition’s Gold-winning GoUnpackaged refill packaging solution.

The company designed and manufactured a bespoke 14-litre HDPE reusable container for this initiative.

These awards highlight Berry’s leadership in developing sustainable packaging solutions and its contribution to a more circular economy.
