La Rosée, known for its commitment to natural ingredients, sought a sustainable packaging solution to complement its deodorant formula.

“We wanted a pack that reflects all of the strong values of La Rosée in terms of our commitments to the environment and also maximises the consumer experience,” said Mahault De Guibert, co-founder of La Rosée.

Berry Global’s solution, the Exclusive Refill, provides a reusable deodorant stick with a specially designed, non-standalone refill.

This monomaterial polypropylene (PP) design boasts a significant weight reduction – 62% lighter than a full stick.

The 50ml refill prioritises hygiene and ease of use.

Consumers can apply the deodorant without touching the formula, and Berry claims the five-step refill process takes less than a minute.

The refillable stick also boasts an attractive design with La Rosée branding for on-shelf appeal.

While the product’s initial production utilises virgin PP, Berry and La Rosée say they are transitioning to Berry’s CleanStream recycled PP for contact-sensitive applications.

Additionally, local production at Berry’s Marolles, France-based facility minimises La Rosée’s carbon footprint.

“Reuse is a key element of our ongoing sustainability strategy, and we are now working with La Rosée in the development of further refill solutions,” said Antoine Rousset, sales market manager at Berry Global Personal Care.

“The lightweight 200ml Prima refillable jar has also just been launched and there will be more to come!”

This partnership showcases Berry Global’s commitment to sustainable packaging solutions within the personal care sector.

The Exclusive Refill caters to the growing demand for eco-friendly options while maintaining a focus on functionality and aesthetics.
