Berry Global’s Europe-based flexible films business has introduced a new version of its NorDiVent form-fill-seal film for powdered products to help clients further meet their sustainability goals.
The new film features up to 50% recycled plastic content and has been developed as part of Berry’s 2025 sustainability strategy.
The fully waterproof material allows air to emit in a dust-free way, thereby providing improved moisture protection for products that specifically require a dry environment. It also facilitates the outdoor storage of sacks.
NorDiVent’s high tear resistance offers additional protection to products, as well as reducing product spillages and wastage across the supply chain.
Furthermore, the product enables printing in up to eight colours to generate enhanced branding and boost its on-shelf presence.
Berry Global’s sales director Frank Heseding said: “NorDiVent provides a reliable, long-term dust-free and moisture-free solution for the filling and packing of all types of powdered products, such as chemicals and construction materials.”

By GlobalDataIn addition, Berry has launched various Sustane Premium Recycled Polymers at levels of up to 50% to further enhance the benefits of NorDiVent.
Sustane comprises polymers that are made from recycled plastic, both post-consumer and pre-consumer.
Heseding added: “Our ability to include recycled content into NorDiVent is a demonstration of both our technical skills and our determination to deliver solutions that meet our customers’ needs in terms of quality, reliability, and sustainability.
“This is important as it is essential that sustainability goals are advanced, but not at the expense of a sack’s overall purpose, especially since the performance of a sack throughout the supply chain can have a marked effect on its environmental impact.”
