US-based Berry Plastics Group has realigned its business structure in a bid to drive future growth and better serve its customers.
As part of the realignment, the company organised its business into three divisions, including health, hygiene, and specialities, consumer packaging, and engineered materials.
Berry Plastics Group chairman and CEO Jon Rich said: "The new organisation streamlines the company while aligning our businesses closely with the markets that we serve.
"I am confident that this new structure will allow us to best integrate the newly acquired AVINTIV business into Berry Plastics and accelerate the strategic growth of the company, while strengthening the service we provide to our customers and the value we create for our shareholders."
The health, hygiene, and specialities division will comprise the AVINTIV business, which was acquired by Berry Plastics from private equity funds managed by Blackstone for approximartely $2.45bn in October.
It will also consist of the company’s flexible packaging personal care and medical product lines that were previously part of its flexible packaging division, and will be led by AVINTIV North America president Scott Tracey.

By GlobalDataTo be led by rigid closed top division president Tom Salmon, the consumer packaging sector is a combination of its rigid open and closed top divisions, in addition to the flexible packaging food and consumer product lines, and the shrink film product lines.
The flexible packaging product lines were previously part of the company’s flexible packaging division and the shrink film product lines were part of its engineered materials division.
Berry Plastics’ engineered materials division and its flexible packaging converter product line will be part of the engineered materials division.
The division will not include the shrink film products, which would be moved to its consumer packaging division.
