Smart supply chain and logistics solutions provider Best has launched Nbag, an eco-friendly packaging produced by Beijing Yiside Logistics Technology for express deliveries.
As part of the partnership, Best will replace all of its current plastic express satchels with the new packaging.
The polyethylene (PE) bags are manufactured using corn starch and are expected to reduce approximately 30% of plastic used in the production of Best’s express satchels.
The new waterproof and tear-resistant bags boast a damage rate of only 5%. Consumers can buy Nbags for the same price as existing plastic satchels.
Best senior vice-president Zhou Shaohua said: “Best is committed to eco-friendly and sustainable growth for its express business and helping to promote the green development of the industry as a whole.
“By replacing all of the plastic satchels used in our express network with the new Nbag, we can help reduce the use of plastic by 900t and lower the emission of greenhouse gasses by 903t annually, equivalent to planting 50,000 trees.”
