Central Arkansas Recycling & Disposal Services (CARDS) Recycling has partnered with Machinex Technologies to launch a new material recovery facility (MRF) in Springdale, Arkansas, US.

The establishment of the MRF by CARDS Recycling is a significant step towards enhancing recycling efficiency in the region and meeting the environmental sustainability needs of its customers.

CARDS Recycling, traditionally focused on waste management, has expanded its operations to include recycling services.

Meanwhile, Canada-based Machinex, known for innovative recycling solutions, was selected to deliver a customised facility within the constraints of an existing building.

CARDS Recycling president and CEO Dan Christensen said: “As we were entering the sphere of recycling, CARDS needed a partner it could trust, with true expertise. Machinex stood out from the beginning, they understood our needs and accompanied us towards the right solution the whole time.

“This project showed us it is possible to design and deliver a turnkey MRF seamlessly.”

The facility features advanced equipment such as a drum feeder, MACH OCC Screen, two MACH Ballistic Separators, and a MACH Hyspec Optical Sorter for PET/3D Fibre sorting.

Machinex East Coast sales manager Rusty Angel said: “We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to establish a strong relationship with CARDS. Dan has been aggressively making key acquisitions in this market, and so we look forward to a long-lasting partnership that will support their commitment to offering top-tier services to their customers.”
