Clondalkin Group company Chadwicks has developed a new solution for printing on the reverse of Yeo Valley yoghurt pots.
Each lid will have its own ten-character code, which customers can enter online through the Yeo Valley website for the chance to win a VW campervan.
The first of its type to be used in the UK dairy market, the code is revealed only when the polyester lid is peeled back. Chadwicks has printed 19 different lid designs for the range.
Yeo Valley marketing director Dan Rusga said that Chadwicks has the ability to come up with unique lidding solutions without compromising on quality.
"When Chadwicks first came to us with this innovative printing technique, we were quick to identify an opportunity to apply it to our product competitions," Rusga added.
Chadwicks managing director John Chadwick said that the firm spent a long time perfecting the technique, which has worked well for Yeo Valley.
"You can’t stand still in our business, and we’re always looking at ways of improving our product offering and coming up with new and innovative ideas for customers," Chadwick added.
Chadwicks provides flexible packaging solutions for the food, dairy, drinks and pharmaceutical sectors. It has 20 production facilities in Europe and North America.
