Circularix plans to open a second plant in Ocala, Florida, in the first half of 2024, with the goal of expanding the market for food grade recycled materials.
Republic Services vice president of recycling and sustainability Pete Keller added: “Our agreement with Circularix will promote true plastics circularity, enabling a PET bottle to be recycled into a new rPET bottle.”
The company recently opened a polymer centre in Las Vegas, Nevada, to produce and supply rPET flakes and colour-sorted high-density PE and polypropylene. The Coca-Cola Company is one of the first clients of Republic Services’ centre.
