By GlobalDataThe latest award further reinforces the British company’s commitment to maintain stringent environmental practices and sustainability.
Colpac Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) manager Talia Goldman said: “Sustainability is at the core of everything that we do at Colpac.
“We are passionate about improving the sustainability of our packaging and building environmental practices to advance business as a force for good. It’s exciting to have received recognition from the BPIF!”
The latest milestone achievement comes after Colpac successfully passed all the requirements of the seal.
The seal requirements included various key areas, including waste management, carbon footprint initiatives and supplier due diligence.
The company has also showcased its net zero programme, waste procedures and refined purchasing strategy along with some other policies to achieve this Environmental Seal of Business Excellence.
Colpac Compliance and QA manager Frances Dickman said: “I am delighted that we have received this seal of excellence from the BPIF – a fantastic achievement for us to share with our green team and colleagues across the business.
“We always welcome fresh perspectives and recommendations for improvement of our processes and sustainability initiatives.”
In 2022, Colpac was also awarded with the Health and Safety Seal of Excellence from the BPIF.
Colpac is already a platinum member of the BPIF. This signifies that Colpac can access industry specific training, specialised expertise and business improvement consultation.
Furthermore, Colpac has also calculated its scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions for the first time.
Moving forward, the company now intends to deliver its short- and long-term net zero targets.
