Sustainable food packaging manufacturer Colpac has expanded its recyclable Stagione food packaging range with the addition of a new 1,000ml square pot variant.
Colpac said that the new product’s size is specifically designed to appeal to the chilled food market.
Made from Forest Stewardship Council-certified paperboard, the new square Stagione pot features a polypropylene coating, which delivers a superior grease and moisture barrier to its predecessors.
Compared with Colpac’s existing 1,250ml option, the square 1,000ml pot is shallower but still offers a large visible area of the product.
The new paperboard container is being launched alongside a new recycled polyethylene (PE) terephthalate lid, which fits both square Stagione base sizes.
The lid has an anti-mist coating, with crystal-clear clarity and a smooth finish to allow better labelling than its predecessors.
