Specialty packaging solutions supplier Comar has acquired injection and blow moulded products manufacturer Omega Packaging.
Headquartered in the US, Omega Packaging manufactures stock plastic jars and caps for various markets including pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, sports nutrition, and skin care.
The company specialises in moulding continuous thread (CT) and child-resistant (CR) closures as well as single, thick and double wall jars.
It supplies products for customers across the globe from its Safe Quality Food (SQF) certified facility in La Mirada.

By GlobalDataThe addition of Omega Packaging capabilities will enhance Comar’s strategy to provide end-to-end custom manufacturing capabilities to healthcare customers.
In addition, it will expand products offerings by adding complementary closure and jar products and other precision mould-making knowledge.
Following the deal, the merged company will have 11 manufacturing facilities with more than 1100 employees in the US.
Comar Sales and Marketing executive vice-president Scott Conklin said: “Pairing Omega Packaging’s successful product portfolio with Comar’s geographically diverse network will enable us to serve our customers in the healthcare, personal care, and food and beverage markets in new and exciting ways.”
Golub Capital Credit Opportunities, Brightwood Capital and Everberg Capital led the funding for the acquisition.
The companies did not disclose the deal value.
