Industrial wood and packaging solutions firm Conner Industries has completed the acquisition of US-based industrial packaging firm RoseMill Packaging Resources.
Headquartered in Lewisburg, Tennessee, RoseMill offers industrial packaging solutions, including manufactured through combinations of wood, corrugate, plastic and foam packaging.
The company serves customers across various industries such as HVAC, automotive, appliance and packaging.
RoseMill’s acquisition forms part of Conner’s long-term strategic plan to expand further into the packaging industry. It also accelerates growth in its core lumber business by taking advantage of its existing manufacturing facilities.
In addition, the deal will allow Conner to enter new geographic markets and industries that it is currently not serving.
As part of the transaction, RoseMill sales vice-president Mike Rose and operations vice-president Spencer Miller will continue in their current roles with the company.
Rose and Miller will be responsible for supporting Conner manufacturing plants and their salesmen to expand into more value-added packaging competencies.
Commenting on the deal, Rose said: “We believe that Conner, a leading player in the industrial packaging industry, is the perfect company for RoseMill to partner with as we begin expanding our reach into new growing market segments.
“Together, Conner and RoseMill will take a proven customer service-driven strategy to a market that is seeking partners and suppliers who are best able to provide more value-added services.”
Conner Industries supplies cut lumber needed for pallets, crates and skid parts, as well as fully assembled custom pallets, crates and industrial containers.
The company currently operates 12 manufacturing locations across the US.
Conner Industries opened a manufacturing facility in Clarksville, Tennessee, US, on 1 February.
