Sustainable packaging solution provider Coveris has planned to upgrade its medical packaging production facilities with new investment.
The €10m investment is part of the company’s plan to support its customers with respect to transparency, cleanliness and quality.
Recently, the company has commenced the modernisation programme for sterile grade medical packaging at the Halle site in Germany.
It is the result of market research and planning with industry experts over two years.
Designed to attain industry 4.0 standards, the programme will cover all technology aspects in extrusion, printing, laminating and converting.
The upgrade will also involve running the production equipment in line with industry safety-and cleanliness standards.
