Crown Embalagens Metálicas da Amazônia (Crown Brazil), a joint venture between Crown Holdings and Évora, has been selected to produce a new 220ml beverage can for Coca-Cola.
Designed to serve the Brazilian market, the new aluminium can range will meet consumer demand for smaller portion sizes and greater product variety.
The cans will be manufactured at Crown’s plant in Cabreuva, Brazil, and used for several Coca-Cola products, such as Coke Zero, Coke Life, Coca-Cola, Fanta, Grape Fanta, Sprite and Guaraná Kuat.
It will also join Coca-Cola’s standard line of 355ml and 250ml beverage cans for soft drinks.
Coca-Cola Latin America global procurement director Mario Sergio Gomes said: “Helping consumers experience our products in new ways remains a primary goal at Coca-Cola.
“Crown’s innovative 220ml beverage can format satisfies the preferences of modern Brazilian consumers while also adding noteworthy progression and variety to our product line.”
