By GlobalDataOwned by private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg, Crown acquired the Port Townsend Paper mill in the US state of Washington in February by taking over Port Townsend Holdings Company.
Besides the paper mill, the deal also included the Canadian facilities, namely the Crown packaging plant and the Boxmaster packaging plant in Vancouver, British Columbia, and the distribution centres in Kelowna, British Columbia, and Calgary, Alberta.
The string of acquisitions is in line with Crown Paper Group’s strategy to develop ‘an independent, integrated, high-performing North American packaging business’, it said.
