Japan-based Oji Fibre Solutions (AUS) has acquired Cardboard Cartons’ corrugated box converting business assets.
A new company named Oji Cardboard Carton Solutions has been established to conduct the corrugated boxes business, in addition to providing decorative printing services and processed corrugated products.
Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in Australia.
Oji Fibre Solutions manufactures paper products, while Cardboard Cartons develops corrugated cartons and boxes.
Oji Fibre Solutions engaged K&L Gates as its legal adviser, while Clarendon Lawyers is acting as the legal adviser for Cardboard Cartons.
Finnish company Metsa Board Corporation (M-real Corporation) has raised €250m ($294m) by issuing senior unsecured notes maturing on 29 September 2027.
