Tekni-Plex has acquired Oracle Packaging’s performance lidstock, induction seal, healthcare packaging and speciality lamination businesses.
The acquired segments will form part of Tekni-Plex’s Tri-Seal business unit, which manufactures liners using a variety of materials ranging from a one-piece induction seal to nine-layer extrusions and laminations.
Based in the US, Tekni-Plex is involved in the manufacturing of packaging materials for various industries, including medical, pharmaceutical and personal care markets.
Also based in the US, Oracle Packaging is a portfolio company of Centre Lane Partners and is engaged in the manufacture of industry-leading flexible packaging laminates.
Oracle Packaging has selected Jefferies as its financial advisor for the transaction.
The Carlyle Group plans to invest approximately $250m–$300m to acquire a controlling stake in Manjushree Technopack.

Mengniu Dairy expects the package to attract consumers to the product.

GMG Americas, a subsidiary of GMG Color, has selected Epson America’s Epson SureColor S80600 printer for manufacturing package proofs.
The printer will be used along with the company’s ColorProof 5.10 and OpenColor 2.1.5 software.
Based in Germany, GMG Color is engaged in providing colour management software solutions, while Epson America is a subsidiary of Japanese electronics company Epson and is engaged in the manufacture of computer printers, and information and imaging related equipment.
The transaction will enable GMG Americas to strengthen its technological capabilities.
Carter Wong has developed a new packaging design for Aduna’s new African Super-Teas range, which includes Hibiscus, Turmeric, Moringa, Baobab and Cacao.
The new Carter Wong design comprises vibrant patterns to represent each of the five flavours.
