EcoCortec is set to build a new facility in Beli Manastir, Croatia, to develop VpCI film and bag packaging.
Co-financed by Croatian Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts within the European Funds Programme, the expansion will see the addition of a new production hall to the plant.
As part of Cortec European Group, the plant is expected to enhance manufacturing capabilities to meet all the market challenges, as well as the growing demand for VpCI films and bags packaging.
Cortec’s VpCI technology is used to manufacture EcoCortec films and bags as a solution to prevent corrosion and replace standard rust preservatives such as oils and desiccants. VpCI packaging eliminates the need for degreasing or coating removal.
EcoCortec plant exports a variety of products such as film and foam technologies, as well as custom converted papers.
The plant introduced the Plastic Recycling Project earlier this year to collect and recycle used films and bags.
