Global large format printer company Edison Solutions has selected the EM7-35 On Demand Packaging system from Packsize International to improve packaging processes.

The system will enable Edison Solutions to improve its efficiency and make modifications to an order within short durations.

Packsize’s custom-made EM7-35 system can produce square boxes in different sizes and reduce corrugated kit and shipping costs.

The system can also manage the most complicated and demanding corrugated production workflows.

"To address these market trends, we not only chose a right-sized box production environment, we chose Packsize, the leader in on-demand packaging."

Edison Solutions CEO Kevin Neureuter said: “We work with many of today’s top retailers nationwide and their needs for different sized boxes vary tremendously.

“At the same time, shipping costs for the print industry have skyrocketed.

“To address these market trends, we not only chose a right-sized box production environment, we chose Packsize, the leader in on-demand packaging.”

Edison Solutions will demonstrate Packsize EM7-35 On Demand Packaging International system at GlobalShop 2017.

In a separate development, Packsize announced that it would present its new automated packaging production and optimisation machinery and software designed for single and multiple item orders at the ProMat 2017 event, to be held in Chicago, Illinois, US, next month.

Representing a smart and sustainable packaging solution, the systems to be presented at the event include Packsize’s Solve for X and On Demand Packaging lines of products.
