Medical product manufacturer Enaris has introduced new 95kPa specimen transportation bags designed to eliminate the risks associated with packaging failure and comply with IATA regulations.
The company claimed that the bags have been independently tested and certified to ensure they can withstand high pressures up to 95kPa.

Enaris Group managing director Simon Balderson said: “The Enaris bag is a fully tested and certified product, and we’re happy to share the test results with you, so that you can have absolute peace of mind.”
The new Enaris range of Safe-Hold products is said to comply with legislation surrounding biological specimen transportation.
Safe-Hold solution includes absorbent pads, pouches and 95kPa specimen transportation bags.
Balderson added: “Packing Instruction 650 is quite clear; the primary or secondary packaging must be capable of withstanding a pressure differential of at least 95kPa, without leaking.

The 95kPa bags are currently available in A6, A5 and A4 sizes, and the A3 size will be launched soon.
Safe-hold absorbent pads and pouches are also available in multiple sizes with a variety of absorbency levels.
The company said it can also offer leak-proof specimen transport bags in multiple sizes, where the 95kPa pressure requirement is not mandatory.
