Finish, an automatic dishwashing products supplier, has partnered with recycling company TerraCycle on a free recycling initiative in Australia and New Zealand (NZ).
The Finish Free Recycling Programme aims to provide a convenient solution for diverting soft plastics from landfills.
The programme invites individuals to collect empty Finish dish care products in cardboard boxes at home, work, or community centres.
Once full, these boxes can be sent to TerraCycle using a free postage label available from the programme’s webpage.
The initiative also encourages businesses, schools, and community groups to become public drop-off points, recycling on behalf of their communities.
Finish sustainability head Laurie Ferland-Caouette said: “Here at Finish, we prioritise offering effective cleaning products to households, while ensuring we help reduce plastic waste where possible.

By GlobalData“We are very excited to be able to offer a free recycling programme with TerraCycle for our soft plastic dish care packaging which anyone in Australia or New Zealand can access for free via their local post office.”
Soft plastics often end up in landfills due to their complex composition of the material.
They are not recyclable through kerbside council recycling in both Australia and NZ.
TerraCycle general manager Jean Bailliard said: “At TerraCycle we aim to eliminate the idea of waste and divert as much waste as possible away from landfills, and even more importantly, away from our waterways and oceans.
“This is why we are very excited by the opportunity to work with Finish to make recycling accessible to Australians and New Zealanders in every postcode in the country.”
Recently, TerraCycle partnered with coffee company Gaviña to recycle more than three million coffee capsules and bags.
