US-based high-impact printed packaging provider Fortis Solutions Group has bought flexible packaging supplier Quality Tape and Label for an undisclosed sum.
Quality Tape and Label produces digital shrink sleeves, flexible packaging and pressure-sensitive labels for a range of sectors, including the craft beer, nutraceutical, food and health and beauty end markets.

The company was founded by Cecil and Myrl Daniels in 1979 and is currently run by Rick and Rob Daniels.
Following the acquisition, Rob Daniels will remain in a leadership role and be based in Marietta, Georgia.
Fortis president and CEO John Wynne Jr said: “Quality Tape and Label is a premier provider of digital printing solutions.
“I’m excited to bolster our offerings in the shrink sleeve, flexible packaging and pressure-sensitive labels markets and am looking forward to working alongside Rob Daniels and the entire Quality Tape and Label team as we further enhance our digital strategies across the country.”
A subsidiary of private investment firm Main Post Partners, Fortis offers pressure-sensitive and shrink sleeve labels, multi-ply coupon and flexible packaging printing, pouches and folding cartons among other services.
The company is based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and employs more than 950 people across 15 sites.
Quality Tape and Label CEO Rick Daniels said: “After 40 years of being a close-knit family operation, it’s hard to let go. But moving the reins to Fortis was a decision I’m very comfortable with.
“I’m sure the marriage of Quality Tape and Label and Fortis will be very beneficial for all involved.”
In April, Fortis acquired Total Label, a supplier of complex pressure-sensitive, extended content and booklet labels.
Total primarily serves the agriculture, health and beauty, nutraceutical, home goods and food and beverage end markets.
The company uses flexographic, letterpress, digital and hybrid printing technologies to produce its solutions.
