Polish printing firm Grafpol B M Meszkes has installed a new digital label press from Trojanlabel to offer better printing solutions to its customers.

Represented by HKM in Poland, Trojanlabel’s new equipment is expected to complement Grafpol’s existing flexo and offset printing presses.

Termed as TrojanTwo, the digital label press can perform at speeds of 18m/min and up to 1,600dpi x 1,600dpi.

"The reasonably priced TrojanTwo is a great high-quality solution."

Grafpol CEO Boguslaw Meszkes said: "We decided on the TrojanTwo press because of its reasonable price, high-print quality, and the advantages compared to the existing solutions in our print house, especially with regards to short runs and personalisation.

"The market is changing, digital printing is on the rise, customers are demanding high-print quality and very short runs.

"I see the next 3-5 years being very important and successful for digital technology, as previous issues like high material costs, clogged nozzles etc. have been solved, and that is exactly why we have chosen to invest now."

The equipment has been claimed to include sophisticated algorithms and inline print head maintenance, which allows it to be operated at both short and long runs.

The press can also deliver consistent print quality with vivid and accurate colour representations.

HKM commercial director Zbigniew Karapuda said: "The product is very good and in high demand. Digital printing meets the need for smaller circulations and increased label customisation, and for that purpose, the reasonably priced TrojanTwo is a great high-quality solution."
