Greiner Packaging has designed two new oil containers of different sizes for Austrian company Genol.
The new 1l and 5l bottles are developed to ensure higher stability and offer user-friendliness to the customers.
Greiner Packaging’s internal design and prototyping division (DesPro), as well as project managers and technicians, were associated with the development of the packs to fulfil all necessary requirements of Genol.
The 1l container was designed with sloping recesses that will serve as a grip for convenient and secure handling.
The label surfaces are used as an attractive decoration of the product and to protect the label from abrasion.
For the heavier 5l bottle, the designers have developed a double grip on the containers to provide better weight distribution during stacking as the full weight does not rely only on the closure.

By GlobalDataThe flat portion of the upper grip will also enable Genel to stack the products easily.
Both the containers are made using HDPE material and have off-centre openings.
Greiner Packaging product group director Günter Ausserwöger said: “The off-centre mouth in both container sizes ensures optimal pouring behaviour, as well as nearly fully emptying the oil from the pack.
“The innovative packs are created using extrusion blow moulding technology while optimising material usage in terms of the highest level of cost-efficiency.”
