HB Fuller has expanded its range of packaging solutions for corrugated boxes, with the introduction of new sesame dry end technology.
By combining fibre technology with hot melt adhesives, sesame dry end tapes offer good bond and super-clean opening, typical of wet-end applications, the company claims.
When applied on the dry end of a corrugator, the new technology provides efficiency and tape control.
Commenting on the development, HB Fuller Global business director Peter Lockey said: "Our new technology provides a cost-effective method on the dry end for handle reinforcement, easy opening and closing of applications, and retail-ready packaging.
"It provides great value to a business where packaging performance and efficient operations are key."
The sesame dry end tape technology was manufactured to provide better adhesion to packaging and better tensile strength, when compared to traditional pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) products, during testing.
