Speciality adhesives and chemical products provider HB Fuller has opened a Packaging Center of Excellence at its North American headquarters in St Paul, Minnesota.
The company has invested approximately $1m in the new centre, which will provide packaging engineering and technical services throughout the year.
HB Fuller aims to address customers’ packaging adhesive needs across a broad range of applications, substrates and environmental conditions. The centre will provide solutions for end-of-line packaging, container labelling, flexible packaging, retail-ready packaging, handle and packaging reinforcement, and speciality packaging.
The company’s packaging adhesive experts can connect manufacturers to expertise, technology, applications and equipment to help them speed up the problem-solving and innovation process. New advancements can be created through the in-depth collaboration, which can also aid in the protection of manufacturers’ brands and improve consumers’ experiences with their products.
HB Fuller Americas packaging and converting vice president Steve Ringsdore said that the centre has been launched to help customers to protect their assets and brands, while helping them to find new ways to reduce costs.
"But it also will be used to provide comprehensive training for our technical and sales team so that their market expertise delivers quantifiable value to our customers," Ringsdore added.
HB Fuller serves customers in packaging and paper converting and produces adhesives, sealants and other speciality chemical products.
