Scottish bottled water supplier Highland Spring is set to introduce a new 100% recycled and recyclable plastic eco bottle across retailers nationwide this month.

The launch follows a successful trial of the bottle last year. It now joins the company’s natural source water range.

The labelling of the bottle features a burst of green, along with the message ‘100% recycled plastic bottle’.

Highland Spring Group CEO Les Montgomery said: “The huge success of the trial shows that people are highly engaged with the environmental benefits of a 100% recycled plastic eco bottle.

“The huge success of the trial shows that people are highly engaged with the environmental benefits of a 100% recycled plastic eco bottle.”

“We are grateful to shoppers who gave us their thoughts and feedback, throughout the trial. They asked us to make the eco bottle a permanent addition to the Highland Spring family and we are proud to say that is exactly what we have done.

“We hope that having innovative products such as the eco bottle in supermarkets alongside 100% recyclable bottles will help shoppers understand more about plastic as a valuable resource that should not be treated as waste.”

The company is also planning to launch more 100% recycled and recyclable plastic eco bottles later this year, including a new Highland Spring Kids eco bottle.

Highland Spring Group produces various bottled water brands such as own branded water, Speyside Glenlivet and Hydr8, along with various private label flavoured and unflavoured waters in the UK.
