Hollar & Greene has announced a partnership for the use of Tosca’s reusable plastic containers (RPCs) to ship its cabbages from farm to retail stores.
Tosca leases RPCs for the transport of perishable grocery items such as eggs, meat and vegetables to retailers and suppliers.
Hollar & Greene vice-president Jeff Greene said: “Tosca is an important partner for Hollar & Greene. We've found them to be the most reliable provider of RPCs in the industry.
“Additionally, Tosca's expansive service centre network enables us to be more competitive and meet the needs of our retail partners faster, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality product.”
Under the terms of the partnership, Tosca will deliver Hollar & Greene with a pooled container service for Tosca's 6425 and 6428 RPCs.
The containers come with an improved latch design that reduces the chances of product damage.
