Recyclable plastic film and bags producer INDEVCO Plastics has introduced new recyclable industrial films and bags that contain up to 50% recycled resin.
Last month, the company launched a recyclable Shrink Bundling Film that contains 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin for the beverage and processed food industries.
INDEVCO Plastics leverages up to 50% post-industrial recycled (PIR) or PCR resins and eco-friendly water-based inks for its heavy-duty FFS Film, Centerfold PE Film and pre-formed Open Mouth Polybags.
Designed for industrial manufacturers, these films and bags are useable for various applications.
INDEVCO North America Plastics Division general manager Wayne Mashe said: “Every film we produce is 100% recyclable, and today, we’re optimising how the films with PIR and PCR materials perform, especially for industrial customers.”
INDEVCO Plastics plant manager Jay Bodine is also working with resin suppliers on blending and extruding techniques for its Longview plant in Texas.

Bodine said: “We’re capitalising on new technologies from machine manufacturers and resin suppliers to do two things. First, increase the amount of recycled resin in every film we produce and, second, keep the key properties of these films on par with films made with 100% virgin resins.”
