Flexible packaging and labelling manufacturer Jindal Films Americas (JFA) has announced a plan to expand its product offerings to include polyester films.
According to the plan, a new polyester facility will be located at the company's US headquarters in LaGrange, Georgia, with construction expected to start in early 2019.
The planned polyester plant will have the capacity for 65,000t of film carrying a preliminary investment of approximately $120m.
Under the plan, the plant would have two lines that will enable the company to provide separate product offering for thin and thick specialty films.
Jindal Films Americas executive vice-president and CEO Marcelo Passos said: “We are very excited to introduce the plans to expand our capabilities into polyester film in the Americas.”
Jindal Films Europe is also planning for a similar expansion that will allow it to expand into polyester films in the continent.
