Global fibre food packaging solutions provider Matrix Pack has signed a new industrialisation partnership and machine supply agreement with machine builder Curt G Joa (JOA).

The latest announcement was shared by Swedish packaging company PulPac.

PulPac is providing its Dry Moulded Fiber technology to Matrix Pack for manufacturing its hot and cold drink lids.

A license agreement for the same material was signed between the two companies last week. This allows Matrix Pack to use PulPac’s fibre technology in manufacturing its new line of sustainable foodservice packaging products.

The initial focus will be on manufacturing the lids of hot and cold beverage cups.

Building on previous developments, the latest deal will require JOA to supply a Dry Moulded Fiber production machine to Matrix Pack.
