Koenig & Bauer Celmacch has been selected to provide six of is corrugated board processing machines to Spanish sustainable paper and packaging production solutions provider Saica Group.
Koenig & Bauer will deliver and install a total of four high-performance series ChromaCUT X Pro machines and two Chroma HighTech series machines as part of this deal.
The ChromaCUT X Pro technology will be equipped at Saica’s facilities in England, Portugal, France, and Italy.
Meanwhile, the Chroma HighTech series will be installed at Saica’s sites across Spain.
All six machines will gradually commence production activities, starting in mid-2024.

According to Koenig & Bauer, the ChromaCUT X Pro-machinery to be supplied to Saica will be partly delivered with a new presettable rotary die cutter and will have the capacity to process a maximum of 2.8 metre (m) wide sheets.
The two Chroma HighTech lines are said to have the capacity to process up to 2.1m-wide sheets.
Both machines will include a series of advanced features such as Zero-Defects technology.
Saica’s latest investment in these six machines builds on its existing partnership with Koenig & Bauer.
The Spanish paper and packaging company is already using Koenig & Bauer’s various machines across its European facilities.
