Paper and pulp company M-real has completed the €16m refurbishment of its linerboard mill in Kemi, Finland.

According to M-real, the rebuild will enable further development of coated kraftliners with good printability.

The major elements of the rebuild included an upgrade of the mill’s coating section, and the implementation of a second coating station and drying equipment.

M-real Kemi produces coated and uncoated white top kraftliner for corrugated retail and consumer packaging.

The kraftliner range includes products suitable for flexo, offset, inkjet and screen printing.
