Emmi has entered an agreement to acquire Cowgirl Creamery Corporation and its subsidiary Tomales Bay Foods in a bid to enhance its business in the specialty cheese sector.
The Swiss milk processor and dairy products provider aims to acquire the two American cheese producers by the end of May.
Under the terms of the acquisition, Cowgirl Creamery and Tomales Bay Foods will operate independently, with Sue Conley and Peggy Smith continuing as managing directors, president and vice-president respectively.
Jackson Family Wines, a family-owned business, will acquire boutique winery, Copain Wine Cellars, in a transaction that will allow the latter to continue operating independently.
Based in Healdsburg, Copain will retain its founder and wine-maker, Wells Guthrie, according to the terms of the acquisition.
Jackson Family Wines intends to expand its business with Copain’s low-alcohol wines.

By GlobalDataJin Bao Bao Holdings has entered an agreement with Winning Global Holdings Limited to acquire investment holding firm, Gorgeous Assets Limited.
The acquisition is estimated to be worth HKD60m ($7.73m), payable through issuing shares.
Hong Kong’s Jin Bao Bao will issue 200 million new shares at a price of HKD0.3 ($0.038) per share to Winning Global according to the terms of the acquisition, which is expected to be closed on or before 31 May 2016.
Total Plastics has acquired Northeast Plastic Supply to expand its plastic product portfolio.
Under the terms of the agreement, Northeast Plastic Supply will continue to conduct its business from its two Philadelphia locations, and retain its Northeast Plastic Supply and Everything Plastic brands.

The acquisition of the privately held business involved a consideration of C$38m ($29.46m).
Amcor Rigid Plastics is a subsidiary of Amcor, a company based in Australia.
