Global industrial packaging producer Mauser Group has extended its product portfolio with the launch of the new Infinity Series of plastic drums, designed as sustainable packaging for the transportation of hazardous goods.
The new drums are more eco-friendly than packaging produced from high-density polyethylene, with lower carbon emissions. They are made from recycled post-consumer resin plastics generated from used industrial packaging.

By GlobalDataThe UN-certified plastic drums are offered in two varieties, including the O-Top brand open top drum, designed for 30l to 220l capacity, and the L-Ring PLUS brand tight head drum, designed for 220l capacity.
Mauser Group Europe product group management head Axel Schaefer said that the company has produced the new series of drums from recycled plastics in a short duration following the opening of its recycling centre in Germany.
"In a first phase our regional focus will be the Benelux, German and Italian markets, but we are open and flexible on any project beyond these initial target markets," Schaefer added.
MAUSER product development and global sustainability management head Klaus Peter Schmidt said that there is a need for recycled plastic material to implement sustainable packaging concepts in European markets.
"We invested in our material recycling capabilities and now introduce our new Infinity Series plastic drums because we are convinced by the opportunities linked to closing the lifecycle of industrial packaging," Schmidt added.
