Menasha Corporation has acquired Canadian corrugated packaging provider PearceWellwood for an undisclosed amount.
PearceWellwood will operate as part of Menasha Packaging Company, a subsidiary of Menasha Corporation.
Currently, PearceWellwood operates two facilities in Brampton, Ontario, including a corrugated manufacturing operation and a fulfillment facility that also houses its main offices.
PearceWellwood provides full-service manufacturing, assembly, fulfillment, distribution and warehousing of corrugated retail displays and packaging.
Menasha Corporation president and CEO Jim Kotek said: "The acquisition of PearceWellwood provides Menasha Packaging Company a foothold in Canada to better serve new and existing major consumer packaged goods customers located in the region with expertise in display design, manufacturing and fulfillment."
The acquisition expands Menasha Packaging’s operations to Canada and enhances end-to-end merchandising solutions.
PearceWellwood’s market research and integrated merchandising model to provide customers with value-added insight and end-to-end solutions is similar to that of Menasha.
Menasha Packaging president Mike Waite said: "The combined companies’ packaging offerings and fulfillment capabilities expand Menasha’s market-leading footprint and will improve our ability to provide Canadian customers with end-to-end merchandising solutions."
In addition, Menasha acquired an ownership stake in corrugated sheet manufacturer Tencorr Packaging from PearceWellwood’s parent company Pearce Group.
The corrugated sheet manufactured at Tencorr Packaging’s plants in Brampton and Mississauga, Ontario, will be supplied to PearceWellwood.
