Self-adhesive labels producer Mercian Labels will merge its wholly owned subsidiary AC Labels into its main business, effective 31 December 2014.
In 2010, Mercian Labels acquired AC Labels, which produces high-integrity variable data and barcodes.
AC Labels has recently added an advanced version of fast flexographic presses to its range of equipment.
The proposed merger will provide both companies with complete access to each others’ facilities.
Mercian Labels said that millions of pounds have been invested over the last four years on a new generation of presses and building infrastructure.
Headquartered in the UK, Mercian Labels also specialises in providing labels to both the print trade and end users, using a combination of digital, flexographic and hotfoil presses to ensure a bespoke labelling solution that spans across industries.
Mercian Labels, which operates from two manufacturing sites in the UK, exports its products to more than 20 countries across six continents.
