China CAMC Engineering (CAMCE) has placed an order with Metso for the supply of a comprehenvie package of process automation technologies and valve solutions for JSC Svetlogorsk Pulp & Board Plant’s new bleached kraft pulp mill in Belarus.

The new 400,000t a year mill in Svetlogorsk is currently under construction. Metso’s technology will enable it to have higher efficiency, product quality and process stability, and to gain savings in chemicals, steam and water consumption, resulting in better sustainability.

CAMCE is the EPC contractor responsible for the turnkey delivery of the plant. It selected Metso as supplier based on previous experiences with its technologies and performance in demanding environments and critical applications.

Deliveries of Q analysers, Metso Polarox5 residual sensors, several Metso Piston filtrate samplers for pH measurement, Metso SP and Metso Rotary consistency transmitters, as well as Metso NOVE samplers will take place this autumn. Start-up is expected for the third quarter of 2015.

Metso will also deliver valve solutions, including over 900 Neles automated valves of various types and sizes, for applications including control and on-off.

Equipped with ND 9000 series intelligent valve controllers, all the control valves will ensure long-term reliability, reduce process variability and improve process efficiency.
