UK-based printing company Midland Regional Printers is set to install an Easymatrix die-cutter at its Nottingham facility in October.
After installation, the company intends to operate the Sanwa die-cutter machine for one shift and the Easymatrix for two shifts, with plans to extend this to three shifts in the future.

Midland Regional Printers sales and marketing director Kate Tew said: “We recently installed a Speedmaster XL 106-6+L to operate alongside a similarly specified Speedmaster CD 102 so we needed to invest in the die-cutting area to keep up with the increased throughput.
“The Easymatrix will handle a wide range of work, including toy, pet, beauty and pharmaceutical packaging.”
The 7,700sph Easymatrix machine is capable of handling stocks of 90gsm to 2,000gsm in formats from 400mm x 360mm to 1,060mm x 760mm.
Kate Tew added: “We undertook extensive testing. Managing director Steve Bates, technical director Michael Tew and one operator went to the Heidelberg Packaging Centre at Wiesloch and were very impressed by the demonstration there.”

Midland Regional Printers has been operating for more than 50 years and provides packaging, product design, commercial print and self-adhesive labels.
