Industrial technology firm Milacron’s Uniloy brand has helped Consolidated Container Company (CCC) in developing the latter’s new line of Dura-Lite containers for the dairy and water supply sectors.

Available in retail stores from early next year, containers under the Dura-Lite range are claimed to be stronger, lighter and available in variations of dairy/water gallon and half-gallon square bottles.

"The success of the Dura-Lite container is a direct result of Milacron and CCC’s mutual respect for each other’s talents and experience."

The bottles feature radiuses, ribs, and angles, which make them lighter without compromising on appearance.

Uniloy’s vice-president and general manager David Skala said: "The success of the Dura-Lite container is a direct result of Milacron and CCC’s mutual respect for each other’s talents and experience."

The products have undergone multiple rounds of fill-line and consumer testing before their design was deemed suitable for use across standard dairy/water supply chains.

The containers are also based on less plastic content, which is in line with CCC’s strategy to focus on sustainable production.

CCC president and CEO Sean Fallmann said: "I love the sustainability benefits of the Dura-Lite containers. They’re just another one of the many solutions we offer to help our customers reduce their environmental footprint while providing the high level of quality that they have come to expect from CCC."

On the basis of an exclusivity agreement, the Dura-Lite range can be purchased only through CCC.
