Mondi, a sustainable packaging and paper manufacturing company, has unveiled ProVantage SmartKraft Brown and White, its new containerboard grades that blend fresh and recycled fibres.
These two new containerboard grades reportedly offer the strength, enhanced runnability, and printability to meet diverse packaging requirements without compromising quality and performance.
According to Mondi, the ProVantage SmartKraft papers are made of 100% fresh fibre on the top layer and 100% recycled fibre for the underlayer.
This two-ply solution ensures the products are not only sustainable but also offer strength and cost efficiency.
In addition, the papers are claimed to be made from 100% responsibly sourced raw materials just as other containerboards from Mondi and are fully recyclable.
The ProVantage SmartKraft papers are available in both brown and white variations.

Mondi containerboard sales director Gijs Huisman said: “The timing of the campaign could not be better as we are currently executing a €95m [$102.14m] upgrade of Mondi Świecie’s containerboard mill in Poland, to serve customers even more efficiently with shortened lead times and further grammage options.
“Our customers need high-performance, sustainable paper and packaging solutions and we can offer this with our extended range of ProVantage containerboard papers.”
Last month, Mondi introduced ‘TrayWrap’. Made from the company’s Advantage StretchWrap range, the new secondary paper packaging solution is designed to replace plastic shrink film for bundling food and beverage products.
