Paper and packaging products manufacturer and distributor Mondi has introduced the YBBS brand uncoated wood-free board for packaging applications.
YBBS white board is an uncoated virgin fibre wood-free board that is suitable for making folding boxes and shopping bags. It features a CIE whiteness of up to 170 haptics, and a strong environmental profile, according to the company.

The board has been designed to prevent food from liquid penetration, and also fits for purpose with high-performance runability and converting speed.
Manufactured in Austria, the new portfolio is available in four grades including high white, ivory, coloured board and cupstock. All grades are ISEGA-certified to comply with the Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung (BfR) XXXVI regulation on direct food contact safety.
Additionally, Mondi’s YBBS board features a unified colour and print reproduction with two-sided printing.
Mondi uncoated fine paper marketing and sales director Johannes Klumpp said the YBBS premium cupstock board features the attainable level of purity of uncoated cupstock board.
