Mondi, a sustainable packaging and paper company, has announced the expansion of narrow reel capacity at its mill in Ružomberok, Slovakia.
The company added a new slitting and rewinding unit to increase its offerings, particularly catering to printing and the conversion of paper.
Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper marketing and sales director Bernhard Cantzler said: “We want to give our customers supply security for their paper needs in folio and various reel widths and for this we needed to extend our narrow reel capacity.”
The expansion allows Mondi to offer products such as its IQ ALLROUND Envelope and IQ UNIVERSAL Notebook in narrow reels, ensuring a consistent supply for converters.
In addition, offset and preprint papers, including MAESTRO PRINT, IQ PRINT, and DNS Performance Plus are available for professional printers who require seamless print runs and improved results.
The Mondi SCP integrated pulp and paper mill in Slovakia reportedly offers a wide paper portfolio, which adheres to rigorous sustainability standards.
