US-based MonoSol has developed a new range of water-soluble films for Pacific Shaving Company’s new single-use shaving cream, Minis.
Currently available across Target stores in the US, the new film range has been used to create packets that dissolve with water in the user’s palm to provide a moisturising lather.
The new food-grade, water-soluble film shaving cream in easy-to-use, pre-measured pouches that release their contents when exposed to water.
MonoSol president and CEO Scott Bening said: “We’re always asking what can’t we put in a packet that dissolves in water.
“We have seen success in laundry detergents, automatic dishwasher detergents, food colouring, and pool and spa products in water-soluble film, so why not enhance convenience in personal care products?
“With Pacific Shaving Company, we’re unleashing a new, innovative way to deliver shaving cream.”
