US-based plant-based packaging developer Evergreen Packaging has announced that plant-based ice cream brand NadaMoo! has switched to its Sentinel Fully Renewable Ice Cream Board.
The coconut milk dairy-free frozen dessert will now use Evergreen Packaging’s paper-based packaging made with a renewable coating derived from sugarcane.

The Sentinel Ice Cream Board features a sugarcane-based polyethylene coat. It is made using both the paper and coating from sources that can be regenerated, making the board fully renewable.
The company stated that it uses sustainable forest practices to derive paper.
Evergreen Packaging Paperboard Sales & Marketing vice president Chris Johns said: “Adding NadaMoo! to our customer list is yet another reinforcement that the marketplace is moving toward renewable materials with an emphasis on sustainability.”
Sentinel products are claimed to offer quality converting performance, strength and print quality. No change is said to be required to the existing converting equipment to use Sentinel.
