By GlobalData“Reflex Packaging’s state-of-the-art cushioning trays, made from 100% recycled and ocean-bound plastic, combined with Nefab’s global presence, will make sustainable cushioning solutions available for the market worldwide.”
The acquisition is part of the company’s effort to boost its commitment to save environmental resources by optimising its supply chains.
Reflex Packaging’s cushioning reduces CO₂ output by 50% and saves up to 85% in shipping and warehouse space.
With the acquisitions, including Szkaliczki in 2020, Nefab is now better placed to strengthen its position as a sustainable thermoformed cushioning provider.
It will also be able to meet the demand growth in various markets including Electronics, Datacom, Telecom, and Lithium Batteries.
Nefab’s workforce will also be extended to more than 4,000 employees across 35 countries.
Staffan Pehrson added: “Our customers are demanding more cost-efficient and sustainable supply chains, and the use of thermoformed cushioning enables significant savings both in cost and CO₂ emissions. We are excited to welcome over 200 employees from Reflex Packaging to Nefab, and to make their unique competence available to our customers worldwide.”
