Specialty chemicals group Altana has acquired US-based NuLabel Technologies’ technology portfolio and its research and development platform for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition comprises technologies for additive manufacturing of sustainable decoration solutions and re-sealable packaging.

NuLabel Technologies president Benjamin Lux said: “We are very pleased to have found a new owner in Altana who is in a position to integrate our innovation pipeline into its core business and to bring it to market readiness.”

The acquired technology, which allows companies to make unique packaging design using lower quantities of consumable materials, will be integrated into Altana’s Actega North America division.
