Coveris, a food packaging manufacturing company, has reached an agreement with Gelpack to acquire the latter’s two five-layer Hosokawa Alpine coextrusion lines at its sire in Madley, UK.
In addition to the two coextrusion lines, the company will also acquire additional manufacturing assets.
The acquisition is a part of Coveris’s plan to expand as a provider of functional and barrier films in the UK, and will integrate the new lines into its existing operations.
The new lines are expected to increase the company’s five-layer coextrusion capacity by an additional 5,000t.
Clariant has signed an agreement with DKSH to commercialise and distribute its atmosphere-controlled pharmaceutical packaging product range in Vietnam, as part of its expansion in South East Asia.
Under the agreement, DKSH is responsible for the distribution of Clariant's Medical Specialty products, such as desiccant caps, packets, canisters, capsules, IDC, T&S, and advanced desiccant polymer to pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries in Vietnam.
