Pernod Ricard India’s whiskey brand Seagram’s Royal Stag has released new packaging for its Barrel Select variant.

The new packaging features a silver metallic appearance and a top lid, which is coupled with a taller, slimmer and tapered whiskey bottle.

Planned to be launched in the market in the next month, the new packaging separates Barrel Select from its mother brand Royal Stag.

With the new packaging, Royal Stag Barrel Select will still retain its original blend of scotch malts and Indian grain spirits.

Pernod Ricard India assistant vice-president Raja Banerji said: “Royal Stag Barrel Select is an upward extension of Royal Stag, one of the most iconic brands in the country.

“While retaining the smooth blend, the new packaging is more sophisticated and elegant yet distinctive to match the brand’s USP.”

“In line with our endeavour to create a separate identity of our brands, Royal Stag Barrel Select continues to evolve in its journey to keep perfecting. While retaining the smooth blend, the new packaging is more sophisticated and elegant yet distinctive to match the brand’s USP.

“The premium look is an expression of perfection designed to cater to the aspirations of the suave consumer.”

Blended in American oak barrels, the Royal Stag Barrel Select is manufactured through a ‘Solera’ process to enhance consistency.

The whisky is said to feature a slightly smoky flavour and evolved, fruity taste.

Pernod Ricard India currently has a portfolio of whiskies that includes Royal Stag, Blenders’ Pride and Imperial Blue, as well as Nine Hill and Indian vodka, Fuel.
