La Colombe Coffee Roasters and Crown Beverage Packaging North America have collaborated to produce a pre-portioned single-use can, ‘The MiniVault’, which is said to extend the shelf life of coffee.
The companies previously partnered to launch Draft Latte, a coffee drink made using Crown’s InnoValve technology.
La Colombe CEO and co-founder Todd Carmichael said: “Our aim is to change the landscape of coffee through obsessive innovation.
“The MiniVault allows us to bring the best coffee to our home, all while removing the guesswork around measuring, grinding and freshness.”
Suitable for La Colombe’s Corsica coffee, The MiniVault features Crown’s 150ml slim style beverage can and its custom 360 End component.
The 360 End has a thin plate of flexible aluminium that acts as a food-safe protector and prevents coffee grounds from spilling after it has been removed.
